Volodia was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and is of Russian descent. He first picked up a musical instrument at the age of four and has kept music an integral part of his life ever since. After touring extensively as a young musician through Eurasia with his band "Sado," he came to America for the first time in 1989 to serve as the musical director of the Seattle Children's Peace Theatre. He returned to Seattle in 1992 for production of another show with the Peace Theatre. While in Seattle, he performed at the R&B jam session one night and right there under very interesting circumstances (you can read the full story on the BIO page) he got an offer to stay in America and continue his musical career here, and Volodia, who had all his life been inspired by American musicians such as George Benson, Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind, and Fire, immediately took the opportunity. Since, he has traveled across the country, performing at a wide range of venues and events for audiences from every background and walk of life. After having lived in Southern Arizona and New York City he is now living and performing in Southern Florida. He also teaches music lessons to beginner musicians, hoping to share his love of music and pay back his parents, mentors and sponsors for all they have done for him. In 2017, he founded the Learning and Activity Center , to spread his love of music.
